Dr. Carlos Manrique de Lara is a dedicated San Antonio eye doctor specializing in refractive surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Eye Surgeons. He is the Medical Director of Manrique Custom Vision Center, a leading San Antonio LASIK and eye surgery practice, and Woodlands Custom Vision, a Woodlands LASIK practice. His nine years of postgraduate training began at Harbor Hospital Center-Baltimore and University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston. He trained in Neurology at Vanderbilt University and Neuro-Ophthalmology at Michigan State University. He rounded out his training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute.

San Antonio eye surgeon Dr. Manrique de Lara trained at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, where he served as Chief Resident. He is currently a professor at the University of Texas and has been a professor at Texas A&M University and Scott & White Clinic.
